The stars.
Stepping out to have a cig and think. The stars are there again; no more clouds. A little humid, keeping the deep chill out of the air. It smells great, earthy and natural. The rain moved east and it's warmer now than this morning, in the 40s. The constellations: Sagittarius, Scorpius, Capricornus, Cassiopeia (Andromeda's mother), a blinkie star - no that's a small plane in the distance, haha. Absolutely beautiful. Time to get out and live life and stop moping around. I was able to write a poem today for the first time in weeks. Stamped it out in 2 minutes. I'm not in pain or turmoil anymore, floating above to see it all, floating toward the top again. The swirling ended. Thank you for lifting me up and making me ... me.

Artist's rendering of Mistress Maria, Queen of the Dark
Copyright©Rion Vernon
My lovely friend Maria from London asked me to post this article. (You're welcome bunny.) I would never have guessed 'mother' as the most beautiful word of the English language. They must have surveyed nursing homes. My vote for the most beautiful word (excluding persons' names) is 'fuck.' Said passionately during heated circumstances, especially in concert with the word 'me,' it sounds beautiful. Maybe I'll post my own list of favorite words.
************************
‘Mother’ has been voted the most beautiful word in the English language by a poll of thousands of people compiled by the British Council cerebrating the 70th anniversary promoting English across the globe. Staff asked more than 7,000 people in 46 countries for their vote. Another 35,000 took part in an online poll in non -English countries. The British Council teaches the language to more than 500,000 people each year.
Surprisingly, the word ‘Father’ failed to make the list.
